Thom began his litigation and transactional civil practice in 1992. Animal rights work became a central focus after co-founder Richard Rosenthal asked him to be local counsel on a Connecticut dog matter years ago. Today, his practice is devoted to representing companion animal owners in the multitude of matters they routinely confront concerning their pets. He mostly practices in Connecticut and New York state and federal courts and holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Hartford and a J.D. from Albany Law School. Shortly after law school, Thom’s *article on adjudicating constitutional issues either under the New York or US Constitution was published by the Touro Law Review, portending the dangerous dog defense and other life-threatening animal cases he fervently contests today. * Hancock Const-Touro Law Rev. 93 c (1)
