Karen has a B.S. in aeronautical engineering, is a former Patent Examiner at the USPTO and a current registered Patent Agent, authoring hundreds of patents at law firms over the past couple decades.  She has a lifelong love of animals, started and sold a vegan dog treat company, and volunteers at an animal sanctuary.  Karen develops and manages the website, edits the newsletter, and creates other outreach and fundraising materials for the Center.
