While the Center for Animal Litigation focuses on the rights of Companion Animals, we wholeheartedly believe and support the fundamental rights of all humans and all animals.
On Saturday May 7th, 2022, people around the world will be protesting the unjust captivity of marine animals. The abuse and exploitation of these sentient beings has no place in the 21st century. At Mystic Aquarium, a controversial acquisition of five beluga whales resulted in two deaths in less than a year. Cetaceans are far too complex to ever have a suitable life in captivity. They belong in the wild – their home! It’s time to empty the tanks.
