They know.
People are overwhelmingly surprised when they learn what we try to do, and let’s not even talk about the lawyers who run across our path.
But to those to whom it matters most, I’ve become convinced they know all too well. I see it in their eyes and body language; that through which they speak if we can hear them.

Rescuers understand this look, and have helped me along my journey. I and all the lucky ones are grateful.
