The CFAL is frequently notified of BSL wreaking havoc in innocent families’ lives. One case in which Attorney Thom Page is currently assisting involves Dog A being attacked by Dog B. Dog A pinned Dog B to prevent further attack, but Dog A still suffered injuries requiring thousands in veterinary bills, while Dog B had none. During our last book discussion, Thom touched briefly on the different types of breed specific discrimination that occur – both from governments and from private institutions (landlords, insurance companies, etc.). Because it is extraordinarily difficult and expensive to fight any type of breed specific regulations, we encourage responsible dog owners, and anyone that cares about fairness, to work hard at preventing any such regulations from existing in the first place.
