After 40 years practicing law as a transactional and civil litigator, Norma found new passion for the law in 2019 when confronted with the imminent execution of two dogs in the City of Los Angeles on death row for biting a trespasser on their property. An extremely unsettled area of the law throughout California and beyond, Norma has begun formulating a legal challenge so that no dogs are unjustly imprisoned or executed for doing what dogs have been bred to do for thousands of years. An avid animal lover and owner of two cats, Sterling Silver and Maurice, and her pitbull Charlotte, Norma is devoted to protecting animals through creative litigation challenges of unreasonable and abusive government action and forging lasting change in the law. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from Pennsylvania State University and a J.D. from the University of Michigan School of Law.
